Our Unique Approach
Deciding to sell your business is a significant milestone. As NFL Hall of Fame Coach Marv Levy once said, “Once a player thinks about retiring, he has already retired.” The same applies to business owners—once you’re considering selling, you’re emotionally ready to move forward. Our role is to protect your interests and manage the entire sales process while you focus on running your business.
Six Key Benefits of Working with Us
- Confidentiality First: We prioritize protecting your business’s privacy at every stage.
- Qualified Buyers: We rigorously vet buyers to ensure they meet your criteria.
- BBDG Training: Michael DeVault is a business broker trained by Toby Barker and the exclusive BBDG Nashville affiliate.
- 1-on-1 Partnership: We work closely with you to achieve your goals.
- Selective Representation: We only take on businesses we’re confident we can sell.
- No Upfront Fees: We earn our commission only at closing.
Our Comprehensive Services
We handle every aspect of the sale, from valuation to closing, allowing you to stay involved without the burden of managing the process. Our services include:
- Market valuation based on lender standards
- Strategic buyer marketing and qualification
- Confidential buyer tours and financial reviews
- Offer negotiation and due diligence
- Coordination of financing and lease agreements
- Closing and fund dispersal
Exclusive Coaching Session
We provide each seller a 1-2 hour coaching session after signing a listing agreement. We prepare you for buyer meetings, role-play potential questions, and walk you through the entire process to ensure you’re confident and ready.
Maintaining Confidentiality
Confidentiality is critical when selling your business. Any hint of a sale could impact employees, customers, or the business’s value. Here’s what you should avoid:
- Telling anyone you’re planning to sell
- Changing business models or daily operations
We ensure your business continues to operate as usual while we discreetly market it to qualified buyers.
How We Find Buyers
Unlike traditional brokers who wait for buyers, we actively pursue them through:
- Confidential online and local advertising
- Targeted cold-call campaigns to local business owners
- Strategic networking and increased online presence
All marketing costs are covered by BridgePoint Business Group, with no upfront fees to you.
Getting Started: Business Valuation
To provide an accurate market valuation, we need:
- 3 years of tax returns and P&L statements
- Current market value of equipment
- Inventory value at cost (not retail)
If you can’t provide tax returns or P&L statements, we offer alternative valuation services. Our valuations align with lender standards, ensuring a realistic and marketable price.
